A basic email with the month's coming uploads as well as info and pics relating to local mineral specimens and mining areas.

You can search for specimens by area using the buttons in the frame below or you can use the search function. The dropdown menu of minerals will only give results of minerals that have been classified under that mineral type. For example: A specimen of Aquamarine and Tourmaline will be classified under aquamarine.

If you Search for Tourmaline in the dropdown menu the specimen in the example will not appear. Click on the search button (below right) to access the search function. If you type the mineral you are looking for into the search box you will get many more hits on almost any mineral search you do.

Built into the site is the ability to add specimens to your order form. You will see the "add" button below the specimen details. You can also add the specimen ID number in yourself (Eg: Ame001B)

Postage and Payment details will be arranged by E-mail. We accept credit card payments with our secure online credit card facility as well as payments made via PayPal.

All specimens are sent by Registered Airmail and delivery worldwide takes between 10 and 14 days.

The minumum postage cost is US$ 9 for one specimen, but 5 specimens combined can easily be as low as $10 to have all 5 delivered.

A totally redesigned Kalahari Minerals site is currently under construction and we are aiming for completion by the end of October.

The new site will bring a totally new look and feel with loads of functionality. We are also proud to share many new specimens and more material for top end collectors.

This upload features a few Erongo aquamarines. All with good colour and varying clarity.

We start off our uploads for March with quartz from the Brandberg. All are listed under QUARTZ and we have varied associations from like prehnite, analcime and lepidolite.

We start the year off with a few gemmy Olmiites. Great aesthetics, lustre and colour. Just the way good specimens should be.

Our uploads for 2011 will start in the second week in February. Until then we are concentrating our energy on getting orders out and sorting new material.

Bandberg prehnite specimens are known for their color and quality. The more gemmy the quality the harder to capture the true green color, but we have managed to upload a nice selection.

This upload completes our latest batch of Brandberg Amethyst crystals. In the coming uploads we have some interesting associations with quartz to upload. Brandberg Prehnite specimens coming next week.

We are currently in Namibia sourcing specimens from all the top areas. Amongst others we have managed to get hold of some great Erongo aquamarines and amazing Brandberg amethyst specimens. Watch for uploads coming soon...

Reine is currently in Australia. Firstly to get married and secondly to meet some friends in the mineral trade.

Back in South Africa it is business as usual and we look forward to Reine and Michelle's return.
