Pre007B - Prehnite Cluster |
Miniature (4.2 x 3.4 x 1.4cm) A relatively flat specimen. The entire cluster is covered with sparkling analcime. Analcime is a rare zeolite sometimes found associated with Brandberg specimens. On this specimen the analcime looks like glistening dew covering the specimen. A good specimen from every aspect. The color of the prehnite is a richer green than is seen in the pictures. Seems my digital camera makes greens seem much more washed out. I have a similar problem photographing fluorites and dioptase. Chemical Composition: Ca2 Al2 Si3 O10 This specimen is from the Gobobos Mountains, Brandberg, Namibia. $125 |
